The PHOENIX group, Europe’s leading pharmaceutical distributor, has announced a planned change at the top of the German Management Board as of 1 February 2017. Oliver Windholz, CEO of the PHOENIX group, today also heads the country board in Germany, which is a very important market for PHOENIX. His dual function was intended only for a transitional period.
Windholz will focus on his role as CEO of the PHOENIX group and on his responsibilities for European sales and marketing in order to further expand the business in Europe. He will, therefore, hand over the chair of German Management Board to Marcus Freitag, who remains responsible for German sales. Within the three member management team, Stefan Pflug will continue to head Operations and Helmut Fischer, CFO of the PHOENIX group, stays in charge of Finance. "I think that we are very well positioned for the future with the new management structure in Germany and our dedicated employees. At the same time this ensures continuity," said PHOENIX CEO Windholz with regard to upcoming change.
