The PHOENIX group is expanding its Executive Board. Leon Jankelevitsh, who is currently Managing Director of Tamro Baltics, a PHOENIX subsidiary active in pharmaceutical wholesale and pharmacy retail, will join the PHOENIX group Executive Board with effect from 1 February 2023. In his new role, Jankelevitsh will assume responsibility for the newly created Board function „Healthcare Logistics & Sustainable Supply Chain“, which will focus on the diversification of the core business, logistics services, and the sustainable development of PHOENIX’ activities. Jankelevitsh will continue in his position as Managing Director of the Baltic subsidiaries.
“As a result of the acquisition of parts of McKesson Europe, the PHOENIX group portfolio has expanded to include 29 subsidiaries. With Leon Jankelevitsh’s appointment to the PHOENIX group Executive Board, the Supervisory Board is taking account of these extended responsibilities,” says Dr Bernd Scheifele, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PHOENIX group, adding: “Mr Jankelevitsh is an expert in pharmaceutical wholesale and retail with in-depth knowledge of the Northern European healthcare markets. Leon Jankelevitsh took over the management of Tamro Baltics in 2014. Since then, he successfully developed the business activities of the three Baltic PHOENIX subsidiaries. He had previously held management positions in the Baltic healthcare sector and the Estonian economy for over 15 years.
