Tamro Oy, part of the European healthcare provider PHOENIX group, has signed an agreement with the Finnish Medaffcon Oy on the company’s acquisition. Medaffcon is active in research and consultancy. Founded in 2009, the company from the Finnish city Espoo supports the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare businesses with strong expertise in medical and health-economic services.
As a pioneer, the firm has carried out Finland’s first commercial biobank research and developed methods for evaluating the effectiveness of treatments. The transaction strengthens Tamro’s service portfolio. “We are well on track to becoming the leading integrated health care provider in Finland offering services for the entire pharmaceutical supply chain,” said Oliver Windholz, CEO of the PHOENIX group, with regards to the acquisition. It becomes ever more important to utilize people’s health information more comprehensively for measuring healthcare effectiveness.
